आंध्र प्रदेश के बाद पश्चिम बंगाल ने भी सीबीआई के प्रवेश पर प्रतिबंध लगाया

वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली ने आंध्र प्रदेश और पश्चिम बंगाल की सरकारों के इस फैसले पर पलटवार करते हुए कहा कि जिनके पास छिपाने को बहुत कुछ है, वे ही अपने राज्यों में सीबीआई को नहीं आने दे रहे हैं.

कोलकाता: पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार ने सीबीआई को राज्य में छापे मारने या जांच करने के लिए दी गई ‘सामान्य रजामंदी’ शुक्रवार को वापस ले ली. राज्य सचिवालय के एक शीर्ष अधिकारी ने यह जानकारी दी.

पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार के फैसले से ठीक पहले आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार ने भी यही कदम उठाया है.

आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार की घोषणा के बाद पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने इस मुद्दे पर आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री चंद्रबाबू नायडू को अपना समर्थन जताया था.

उन्होंने कहा, ‘चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने बिल्कुल सही किया. भाजपा अपने राजनीतिक हितों और प्रतिशोध के लिए सीबीआई व अन्य एजेंसियों का इस्तेमाल कर रही है.’

मीडिया में आई ख़बरों के मुताबिक इसके बाद ममता बनर्जी ने एक उच्च स्तरीय बैठक बुलाई, जिसमें यह फैसला लिया गया.

पश्चिम बंगाल में 1989 में तत्कालीन वाम मोर्चा सरकार ने सीबीआई को सामान्य रजामंदी दी थी. एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने नाम न जाहिर होने की शर्त पर कहा कि शुक्रवार की अधिसूचना के बाद सीबीआई को अब से अदालत के आदेश के अलावा अन्य मामलों में किसी तरह की जांच करने के लिए राज्य सरकार की अनुमति लेनी होगी.

सीबीआई दिल्ली विशेष पुलिस प्रतिष्ठान कानून के तहत काम करती है. इससे पहले आंध प्रदेश की चंद्रबाबू नायडू सरकार ने सीबीआई को राज्य में छापे मारने और जांच करने के लिए दी गई ‘सामान्य रजामंदी’ वापस ले ली.

आंध्र प्रदेश के उपमुख्यमंत्री (गृह) एन चिना राजप्पा ने संवाददाताओं से कहा कि सहमति वापसी लेने की वजह देश की प्रमुख जांच एजेंसी के शीर्ष अधिकारियों के खिलाफ लगे आरोप हैं. इसके बाद ममता सरकार का फैसला सामने आया.

आंध्र सरकार के इस कदम को मोदी सरकार और मुख्यमंत्री नायडू के बीच टकराव और बढ़ने के तौर पर देखा जा रहा है. नायडू 2019 के लोकसभा चुनावों में भाजपा से मुकाबले के लिए गैर-भाजपा दलों का मोर्चा बनाने का पुरजोर प्रयास कर रहे हैं.

हालांकि राजप्पा ने साफ किया कि सीबीआई केंद्र सरकार के अधिकारियों के खिलाफ राज्य की अनुमति के बिना जांच कर सकती है.

वहीं नायडू के इस कदम को दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल का भी समर्थन मिला है.

भाजपा का पलटवार

उधर, भाजपा ने नायडू सरकार के फैसले को भ्रष्टाचार, वित्तीय गड़बड़ियों और अन्य आपराधिक कृत्यों को बचाने की दुर्भावनापूर्ण कवायद कहा.

भाजपा के राज्यसभा सदस्य जीवीएल नरसिंहा राव ने एक बयान में कहा, ‘राज्य सरकार ने सीबीआई में हालिया घटनाक्रम का हवाला कमजोर बहाने के तौर पर किया है और उसकी मंशा भ्रष्टों को बचाने एवं भ्रष्टाचार व आपराधिक कृत्यों में शामिल लोगों और संगठनों को राजनीतिक संरक्षण देने की है.’

वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली ने भी आंध्र प्रदेश और पश्चिम बंगाल की सरकारों के इस फैसले पर पलटवार किया है. उन्होंने कहा कि जिनके पास छिपाने को बहुत कुछ है, वे ही अपने राज्यों में सीबीआई को नहीं आने दे रहे हैं.

उन्होंने कहा, ‘केवल वही जिनके  पास छिपाने को बहुत है, वे ही सीबीआई को अपने राज्य में नहीं आने दे रहे हैं. भ्रष्टाचार के मामले में किसी भी राज्य की कोई संप्रभुता नहीं है. आंध्र सरकार का यह कदम किसी विशेष मामले के चलते नहीं बल्कि आगे क्या हो सकता है इस डर के चलते लिया गया है.

Delhi's Anti-corruption Helpline Gets Huge Response

Delhi government's anti-corruption helpline Thursday received "incredible response" with almost 4,000 calls within a few hours of it being launched, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said.

"Till 3 p.m., we received 3,904 calls. We did not except such a huge response," Kejriwal told the media.

However, due the deluge of calls, only 824 calls could be responded to, he said.

Of the calls, 53 were of serious corruption cases, he added.

Kejriwal said people have conducted "quality" sting operations for which he congratulated them.

He said 38 people agreed to conduct sting operations.

Arvind Kejriwal keeps his power promise; 50% tariff cut for usage upto 400 units in Delhi

New Delhi:  The Delhi Cabinet has cleared a 50 per cent cut in electricity tariffs for the capital.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced this after chairing a cabinet meeting at the Delhi Secretariat this evening. He had earlier announced that the three major power distribution companies in the capital will be audited starting tomorrow.

Mr Kejriwal said the power tariff cut, effective from tomorrow, January 1, will apply to those homes that consume up to 400 units of electricity a month. Those who consume more will pay for the entire supply. Halving the capital's electricity bills was one of Mr Kejriwal's major pre-poll promises.

The chief minister said the decision would benefit 28 lakh consumers and would cost his government Rs.60 crore for the three months left of this financial year.

Mr Kejriwal, who has been unwell and could not attend office since yesterday, left home early this evening to meet the government's national auditor or Comptroller and Auditor General, Shashi Kant Sharma, who agreed to inspect the finances of Delhi's distribution companies since they began doing business in the capital.

"If the companies have any objections about being audited, they should inform us by tomorrow morning," the 45-year-old former tax inspector said.

Yesterday, he delivered on another commitment he had made to voters - free water. His government has said that every household in Delhi with a working meter will receive nearly 700 litres of free water everyday at a cost of Rs. 160 crores to the government. Families that consume more than that will have to pay for the entire amount, with a 10 per cent increase over last year's rates.

AAP has alleged that power companies in Delhi colluded with earlier governments to over-charge residents. Discounting the prices will require a massive government subsidy. According to some estimates, that could add up to Rs. 5,000 crores if the price is halved for 40 lakh consumers.

The one-year-old party's debut in the recent elections was meta - it placed second, depriving the BJP of a majority and forcing the ruling Congress into third place.

Mr Kejriwal formed the government on Saturday with external support from the Congress. He has to prove his majority by Friday.
