"Till 3 p.m., we received 3,904 calls. We did not except such a huge response," Kejriwal told the media.

Of the calls, 53 were of serious corruption cases, he added.

Kejriwal said people have conducted "quality" sting operations for which he congratulated them.

He said 38 people agreed to conduct sting operations.

Arvind Kejriwal calls in police to control crowd outside house

"We don't want to take a risk. Hence, we have installed a metal detector at the society's entry gate. Besides, around 12 police personnel would be deployed 24 hours outside (Kejriwal's) residence," Mr Singh said.

"Nobody will be stopped from entering the society. Our focus is on traffic and crowd management," he added.

Mr Singh said that discussions had been held with Delhi Police regarding the security measures to be taken in the area and the needful was being done in that regard.

"We met the (Delhi) CM regarding security outside his residence, but he again rejected our request and said that police should manage the traffic situation on the roads near his house so that the common man doesn't face problems," said Mr Singh.

Soon after taking oath, Kejriwal told the "15 million citizens of Delhi" that he and his party would try to usher in "alternative politics", run a "government of the people" but had no "magic wand" to solve all problems.

Along with Kejirwal were sworn in six of his relatively youthful ministers by Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung, amid a crescendo of cheers and claps from his white cap-waving sea of supporters and voters who reposed faith in him and his promises to "change the system".

Delhi's new chief minister pledged to provide a clean government and alternative politics to change the face of India but warned of "roadblocks" from vested interests.

"Today is a historic day," Kejriwal said in opening remarks, triggering wild cheering from the sea of supporters packing the ground in the heart of Delhi. "Today every citizen in Delhi has taken the oath of office."

For a long time, the activist-turned-politician said, people across the country had become despondent that nothing good could happen in this country.

He said the AAP's decision to form a government in Delhi "is only the beginning. The real fight lies ahead. Kejriwal or his ministers cannot fight this battle all alone... But I am convinced that if the people of Delhi get together, then we can eradicate corruption."

Kejriwal also made it clear that the AAP government would not be run by politicians, officials and police but by ordinary people. "This is your government."

New Delhi: Having wrested power in the capital by promising sweeping change in policy matters and functioning of bureaucracy, Arvind Kejriwal began his stint as Delhi Chief Minister on a flourishing note on Saturday.

Within hours of assuming office in the national capital, the Aam Aadmi Party leader shunted nine senior bureaucrats from their departments and laid down actionable deadlines for delivering on key promises made by him and his party. 

Seven key decisions and announcements he made on his first day in the office included — 

Delhi Jal Board CEO Debashree Mukherjee transferred to Delhi Transport Corporation.

Power Secretary RK Verma shifted to Education department.

Delhi Finance Secretary M M Kutty transferred to Social Welfare Department.

He met with Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi and discussed ways of improving the law and order situation, especially one of the key factors of concern in the national capital — women's security.

Kejriwal promised 'news' by Monday on his promise of providing 700 litres of water daily to all households in the city.

He said he was in consultation with senior officers and by Tuesday or Wednesday, he would be able to say something on his promise of slashing electricity tarriff.

The use of red beacons on official cars in Delhi was banned. No PSO and escort vehicle to be provided to officials. Security to be allowed based on threat perception and Delhi cabinet will decide on the recipient.

Harsha praised Arvind Kejriwal, ignoring Sheila Dikshit

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Harsha a "good man dubbed" the former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit completely ignored.
Kejriwal said a good man is but even with Harsha also said that his party (BJP) can not say the same about.
In his speech after taking the oath at Ramlila Maidan, Kejriwal said, 


"Harsha is a good man, I know him. But I can not say about their party. "
Kejriwal was chief minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit to 15 years to completely ignore them while not even mentioned.
